The Fisherman's Feast is an annual event that began in Boston in 1910 and is based on a tradition that goes back to the 16th century in Sciacca Sicily. The Feast is based on the devotion of the fishermen from Sciacca to the Madonna del Soccorso (Our Lady of Help). Today's Feast is much the same as it was over 100 years ago with lights adorning the street and the smell of sausage in the air.

The Free Events will feature a Car Show, Professional BMX Stunt Bike Riders, Extreme Bungee, The Meltdown, Big Glove Boxing, Speed Pitch, Obstacle Course, Video Game Truck, Mini Golf and much more!, Over 200 artists and artisans to participate in one of Connecticut’s largest Arts & Crafts Show. The Milford Oyster Festival will also host the Gin Blossoms at the Festival Main Stage. This year, The Oyster Festival will feature a triple bill of national acts with Fastball and The Rembrandts also performing.
The Festival will have a very large food Court where you may purchase any food you can think of that would be sold at a festival. They will feature 35,000 Oysters & Clams served up many different ways. Several varieties of oysters will be sold and some of the most prominent oyster growers on the east coast will be there. Eat one or eat a couple dozen. Enjoy oysters salty and sweet, grown from Maine to Virginia.

A summer tradition, Radio 92.9 once again presents the Copley Square Concert Series. The series continues this week with a performance from Andrew McMahon and the Wilderness. Former vocalist for Jack’s Mannequin, Andrew McMahon is now writing solo material and performing live.
Jacobs Pillow Dance Inside/Out Performances Wednesday-Saturday Stockbridge Ma
The free performances happen every week from Wednesday through Saturday during the Jacobs Pillow Dance Festival. The shows are performed outside, with a beautiful backdrop of the Berkshire Hills in the summer. When the weather is threatening the performance will move to an indoor studio with very limited seating. Call the Box Office after 5pm the day of the performance to find out if it will be outdoors or indoors.
