It started at the Holyoke Soldiers Home where everyone registered and then lined up for the big event. There were also many of the Vets from the Home who were outside to meet and greet the riders.
This year, there were over 1500 motorcycles that participated in the ride. There was plenty of coffee, bagels, pastries and water available, to all the riders. Vinnie DiMartino from Orange County Choppers was also there to greet the riders, and was more than gracious to do photo’s with anyone who wanted.
The ride left Holyoke and wound through the towns of South Hadley, Granby, Belchertown, Ware, West Warren, Palmer, Wilbraham, Indian Orchard, and Ludlow, it then finished at the Moose Club in Chicopee Ma.
At the Moose Club, everyone was treated to Hamburg’s, Hot Dogs, Chicken, Potato Salad and plenty of fixin’s, with live music performances from Bon Jersey, a Bon Jovi tribute band and Ray Guillemette and his band King Kountry.
The rain held off during the ride, and we only had a very light and fast moving sprinkle, when we got to the Moose Club. It was a good day and a great ride.
