Those great American Road food stops that are all along the Roads of Life had placed the “Open for Business” flags outside and the picnic tables were cleaned and ready for customers.
There are all kinds of road foods available in the small road side stops, from hot dog huts, ice cream stands, barbecue joints, clam shacks and even bakeries. It did get me thinking, I need to start planning, when and where my daily trip's will allow me to stop and experience the many road food stands that I will encounter this year.
I have driven through many parts of the country and have learned that the best places to stop for good Road Foods are generally off the beaten track. There are also many regions in the Northeast that you can travel that offer their own regional specialties. All you need to do to eat well is to keep your eyes peeled. Is the parking lot full, are there a lot of people waiting in line or sitting at the tables outside? If so, its a good bet that that stand is one of the local hot spots.
I can’t wait to experience my next memorable meal on-the-go, the stop that you never forget in your travels and journeys of life. The roadside stops are now ready as we travel along the “Back Roads to Bliss”. Sometimes you have to go out of your way for a great experience.
And try to enjoy the Rainy Day, it has changed my plans a bit today.
