Opening Day

 Opening Day is finally here, its time to get out and experience yet another part of the annual Fall Season. It will be a day of walking in the woods and fields. This cool morning with some eager anticipation.  Bells, lightly ring from the collars of the dogs. They have started their run, always just a little bit ahead of us.  Noses sniffing the cool air for a scent of the elusive bird.

There are, but a few things that I enjoy more than upland bird hunting with pointers.

For many years, my Brittany Spaniels provided me with great companionship and adventures that are now deeply embedded in my mind.  Today I will travel with friends and their young dogs, There will be new training, adventures and memories. But those old memories and adventures with my Brits will never be forgotten, just deeply missed.
