One year ago today, I was sitting here and decided to post my first blog. I had been working on the web site and enjoying the learning experience as I went along. The web site itself was a hobby that took up some time during the winter months. As it began to grow, I decided to put out my first blog. I was not really thinking about what direction or content that the blog should take. Just my thoughts at that moment of time and what adventures a New Year would bring. It would be a journey of my life.
During this last year, there were plenty of days when I questioned myself, why am I doing this? I don’t have anything of true value to write about. I don’t have a special skill, like a big time cook (although I’m not bad) I started to become very skeptical, how long could I keep up with this blog? What would I say? There were many times that my mind became just like my pockets, empty at the moment. It did take me awhile to find my voice. I do struggle at times with being able to open up. I did come to the realization that I would blog about the little things that I experience along the road of life.
I have learned a lot more about myself and feel more relaxed as I continue to grow through this process. I have made connections, new friends and learned so much. Blogging has definitely been different from what I first expected but I’ve found it to be more rewarding than I ever thought possible. At this point, telling a bunch of strangers about my life and the adventures that I encounter along the way has become easier.
For those of you that have been visiting here, thanks for coming! I look forward to seeing where the next year takes us and all the new friends that I meet along the way. I hope to continue to inform, amuse and enlighten your day. If by chance I aggravate, annoy or piss you off, “Sorry Friend”
