The Saber rattling has now begun. Russia successfully test fired an Intercontinental Ballistic Missile today. Now I don’t profess to know a lot about a lot, but I’m pretty sure that as tensions in the world have been heightened over Russia’s seizure of Ukraine's Crimea region. This is not a good thing by any stretch of the imagination. I use the word imagination because I remember the President mocking Mitt Romney during a Presidential debate on the subject of Russia. This would be funny if it wasn't so dangerous.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has said on several occasions that Russia must modernize its military arsenals in the face of its adversaries, especially due to an anti-missile shield the US is building in Europe.
Russia has repeatedly objected US- and NATO-led deployment of the defense facilities near its borders, considering it as a threat to its national security. I guess that the bear is now growling. The RS-24 Yars ballistic missile was launched from northwest Russia and hit its intende target with a dummy warhead.
Well, maybe the situation could use a little humor.
