The 2015 Great New England Air Show will be held next weekend at Westover AFB. The Blue Angels Air Demonstration Team will be headlining the show this year. Also making appearance at the show are the Royal Canadian Air Force Snowbirds demonstration teams, the Army Golden Knights and the Geico Skytypers. This will be the first air show at Westover in three years and promises to be one of the best.
The Canadian Snowbirds will return to Westover since their last performance over 20 years ago at the base’s 50th Anniversary Air Show. The team consists of nine CT-114 Tudors.
Spectators can take in both air and ground displays as this year’s show ranging from World War II-era Warbirds to some of the Air Forces most advanced aircraft, The Air Force’s newest fighter, the F-22 Raptor, will also make its debut at Westover.
Air shows at Westover have typically attracted huge crowds in the past and with the Headliners scheduled for this year, it should be a really big show.
