Punxsutawney Phil even projected that last winter would end early because he did not see his shadow on Groundhogs Day. In reality, we got snow and then more snow through February and into late March.
That brings me to now; the weather here in Western Mass has been a little crazy for the last week and a half. We had snow on the ground before Christmas and then came the rain with temperatures that climbed up to the low 60s. Last night it dropped back down to the teens with a wind chill factor that gave us single digits of cold……The weatherman predicts it won't get any better, the next couple of days will bring on a change for the worse. We have a snow storm projected for tomorrow night and it is expected to end Friday morning.
The temps will then drop to 10 below zero. That’s what I heard this morning on the weather report. Have I told you all how much I hate the bitter cold of winter? For more years than I care to remember, I wake up early every day and use that time to get my mind right with the world. I read the news on the internet and enjoy a hot coffee. I think I should change my plans for Friday morning, coffee first, snow shoveling next, head out into a blizzard and go to work.
We'll see.
