This concert series, presents more than 200 free performances throughout the Greater Boston area from May through September. Bringing neighborhoods alive with free programs of pop, rock, jazz, Latin, and more, some of Berklee’s most promising young artists are poised to share the skills they hone on campus with the local community.
The Lowell Folk Festival Friday-Sunday Lowell Ma
The longest running free Folk Festival in the country takes place in Downtown Lowell.
There’s so much to see, eat, hear, do and discover at the Folk Festival! The festival features five stages of traditional music, authentic and traditional crafts demonstrations, ethnic foods, art, and children’s activities.
Jacobs Pillow Dance Inside/Out Performances Wednesday-Saturday Stockbridge Ma
The free performances happen every week from Wednesday through Saturday during the Jacobs Pillow Dance Festival. The shows are performed outside, with a beautiful backdrop of the Berkshire Hills in the summer. When the weather is threatening the performance will move to an indoor studio with very limited seating. Call the Box Office after 5pm the day of the performance to find out if it will be outdoors or indoors.
Burlington's Summer Series Concerts Thursday Burlington Vt
The classic summer series of concerts returns this Thursday with another FREE show. This week Current Swell takes the stage. Enjoy some great live music at Burlington's Battery Park while taking in breathtaking views of Lake Champlain and The Adirondacks!

Tapping into the area’s wealth of musical and artistic talents, the family-friendly Festival will feature live music throughout the day, culminating in an evening waterfront concert in Masconomo Park. While walking through town, visitors will be able to peruse the art and handcrafted items created by some of the area’s finest artists, craftsmen, and jewelry designers.

Park free and enjoy the sand and surf at any one of Rhode Island’s seven beautiful state beaches – Scarborough, Wheeler or Salty Brine in Narragansett; Charlestown Breachway, East, or East Matunuck in Charlestown; or, Misquamicut in Westerly. Some beaches will have special activities.
There are many Cities and Towns that offer free weekly live music shows with a wide variety of different musical styles available. You can also find a lot of car shows in many areas here as well.
