Third Thursday Street Festival                                                                            Willimantic Ct

Every third Thursday, thousands of people from far and wide stroll along Main Street, Willimantic amid a background of musical, theatrical, visual, gastronomic, and olfactory delights. Seven stages simultaneously host a wide variety of music and entertainment while over 100 vendors showcase a variety of handcrafted goods and services. Willimantic's diversity really shines through in the delicious authentic international cuisine. Enjoy locally produced artwork, beer, music, and soda.     More


Third Thursday Street Festival                                                                                Pittsfield Ma

Every third Thursday the downtown district comes alive with live music and performances on multiple stages setup for the event, local food and craft vendors set up  booths, street performers are entertaining people and plenty of fun is to be had. If you want to experience a little more, businesses are open late for shopping, theater and there are plenty of dining options available as well.  More


Third Thursday Gallery Night                                                                                 Providence Ri

On the third Thursday of each month, galleries across Providence, Rhode Island open their doors to celebrate art ranging from contemporary multi-media installations to one-of-a-kind functional artworks.  Gallery Night Providence offers free, curated, guided bus tours to Providence Galleries and Museums from March to November.

International Festival of Arts & Ideas        June 13th-27th                                       New Haven Ct

A 15-day extravaganza of performing arts, lectures, and conversations that takes over theaters and open spaces in New Haven each June. More than 80% of festival events are completely free.       

Barnum Festival                                      June 12th-28th                                           Bridgeport Ct

The Barnum Festival, now in its 67th year, is the largest civic celebration of its kind in the region. Bridgeport resident P.T. Barnum was the inspiration, and a hardy core of volunteers, including the honored Ringmaster and Royal Family, produce a series of low and no-cost, family friendly events that include, the Wing Ding Parade for Kids, the Barnum's Got Talent Vocal Competition, a Barnum Festival-Bluefish Baseball Night, a Pops Concert and Skyblast Fireworks in Seaside Park, a drum corps competition and the culminating event -- the Great Street Parade on June 28, 2015, featuring bands, floats, dancers, giant inflatables, color guards and community groups representing the diversity of the city and the region.

Bascom Lodge Weekly Performances                                                                     Adams Ma

Sitting atop Massachusetts’ highest peak in the Berkshires of Massachusetts is Bascom Lodge. There is a myriad of opportunities for fun for families throughout the summer and early fall. The season opener starts this weekend and continues through October 30th, the lodge offers workshops, lectures, music and explorations of all kinds.


The Berklee Sumer in the City Concerts  Series                               Greater Boston Ma

This concert series, presents more than 200 free performances throughout the Greater Boston area from May through September. Bringing neighborhoods alive with free programs of pop, rock, jazz, Latin, and more, some of Berklee’s most promising young artists are poised to share the skills they hone on campus with the local community.

Maine Pirate Rendezvous                        Saturday                                          Damariscotta Me  

From buccaneers to belly dancers, re-enactors from throughout the New England area will converge on Lincoln County to participate in the 8th annual Damariscotta River Pirate Rendezvous. At 10 a.m. piratical activities open throughout the in-town areas of Damariscotta and Newcastle. The event highlight comes at noon, when the Mystic Pirates O’ the Damariscotta rise from the depths of history, sail in aboard their armed 57-foot sailing vessel, and invade the twin villages of Damariscotta and Newcastle. The invading pirates are joined by upward of 1,000 children, adorned in pirate costumes, who help the Mystic Pirates search for their hidden treasure, and then share a portion of the loot.
