It’s almost time for Mother Nature’s incredible display of fall colors.  There is nothing else  that can match the invigoration you get when going out for an outdoor adventure during this time of the year. Fall in New England is ripe with an endless amount of hikes that all showcase autumn’s splendor, virtually any trek yields rewards.

From far-ranging vistas that can include high mountaintops, you have the chance of overlooking a checkerboard world of color bursting with bright reds, yellows and oranges. The best part about hiking in New England is the sheer diversity. New England is fortunate to have many mountains in which to choose from. For the hearty, you can even stroll along the rugged Maine coast. There are many paths that follow streams, that lead to tranquil waterfalls or you can even huff-and-puff to the top of New England’s highest peak where the weather is notoriously wild. Comfortable temperatures and light winds at the trailhead could translate to wintry, windswept conditions at a peak’s summit. Sunsets come earlier, so preparation and timing are key to a good day.

So get ready and plan for a hike / adventure before the muted hues and browns take over and it’s just twig season. Below you can find mor information about hiking in each state.
