Anglers will be out today as the 2016 fishing season gets under way in Connecticut, New Hampshire and Maine. Fishermen are dropping their lines along rivers, lakes and streams that State Fish and Wildlife officers have stocked with salmon and trout.
Vermont and Rhode Island will have their opening day next week,  Massachusetts is open year round.
