Marc Fucarile of Stoneham Ma is one of the survivors of the Boston Marathon Bombing and the last bombing victim that was released from the hospital back in late July. Like many of the survivors, his life was transformed in a second. From one of the many faces in the crowd, he became one of the many faces of the tragedy.
He lost his right leg above the knee, broke his spine, as well as bones in his left leg and foot, ruptured both eardrums and suffered severe burns and shrapnel wounds when the second of two bombs exploded near him. He has undergone 16 trips to the operating room for a total of 49 surgical procedures.
Mark, along with his family, recently traveled from Boston to Breckenridge Colorado to participate in the Hartford Ski Spectacular. They were invited by Disabled Sports USA to participate and enjoy some winter activities. more
