I was very fortunate to see a snowy owl yesterday. While driving down Performance Boulevard in Springfield Mass, I happened to look over at the Smith and Wesson building and there it was. Perched and looking majestic in its surroundings, it was sitting on the edge of the roof.
It is always a rare treat to see one. Last year I traveled many miles, always hoping to get a nice picture of one. I never ended up taking, what I thought was a real good picture of a snowy during those many travels. It didn’t happen yesterday either. I was able to get a few pictures of the owl but did not have my good camera with me.
Snowy Owls have a tendency of staying around the general area that they migrate too. That is providing the food supply remains adequate. I'm hopping to get back there soon before it moves on. If I'm lucky enough, the owl will still be in the area, and I will be able to take that elusive picture.
