  A Few Fun Freebies for this Weekend  August 1st-4th  Sorry For the delay this week, too much of the other good thing in life…………work
I will try to feature a quick listing every week for some of the Fun Free events that will be held throughout New England.

Taste of the Caribbean & Jerk Festival Saturday Hartford Ct.
Taste of the Caribbean’s authentic Caribbean cuisine, cool island beverages, spectacular costumes and dance, and island rhythms bring a festive Caribbean atmosphere to the Riverfront. One love! 

The Salem Maritime Festival  Saturday Salem Ma
All Salem Maritime Festival visitors are invited to enter a drawling for one free boat ride on the vessel of their choice. Tickets may be secured via an onsite lottery on the day of the Festival. Random drawings at the Harbor Cruise Tent on Central Wharf
will be held 30 minutes prior to each cruise. Live Music, Demonstrations, Exhibits, and Children's Activities will be available throughout the park and on Derby Wharf.

Festival by the Sea    Saturday   Manchester Ma.
A day full of live music extending from Manchester Town Hall to Masconomo Park and tapping into the area’s wealth of musical and artistic talents, the family-friendly Festival by the Sea will feature live music on two stages throughout the day, together with artists, crafters and designers showcasing their handmade and locally grown products.


 
Jacobs Pillow Dance Inside/Out Performances   Wednesday-Saturday in Stockbridge Ma
These are the free performances that happen every week from Wednesday through Saturday during the Jacobs Pillow Dance Festival. The shows are performed outside, with a beautiful backdrop of the Berkshire Hills in the summer. When the weather is threatening the performance will move to an indoor studio with very limited seating. Call the Box Office after 5pm the day of the performance to find out if it will be outdoors or indoors. 

Museum of Our Industrial Heritage     Sunday 1-4pm Greenfield Ma
Rain or shine—under a big tent. Watch Iron Johnny demonstrate blacksmithing, enjoy light fare, and kick up your heels to three terrific local bands: Bright Lines; Daniel hales, and the frost heaves; and Pale Cowboy. Visit the museum’s gallery looking out on the Green River and the new exhibit created with the assistance of the Conway Historical Society, “Textile Town — Conway’s Industrial History,” and Innovation – Franklin County’s Unique History.”

Bascom Lodge     "Blues & Tap"    Sunday Performances atop Mount Greylock in Western Ma.
Robin O'Herin and Stefanie Weber will perform great delta blues music and Tap dance as these two Berkshire Artists explore the intersection of these two seminal American Art Forms.

The Coop     Sunday Show   Greenfield Ma
Bring a blanket, lawn chairs, food, and drinks, and enjoy music from Daniel hales and the frost heaves perform an eclectic blend of alternative/ indie, Americana, folk & The Zydeco Connection perform high energy dance band playing a mix of zydeco, two-steps, waltzes and boogie woogie


The Highland Street Foundations Free Fun Fridays      6 events throughout Ma
