Fan who hit Stanton with HR ball reveals what happened after his epic throw
Yankees slugger Giancarlo Stanton hit a home run on Saturday into the stands of Fenway Park's Green Monster. As he rounded second, the baseball came back to him.
Aided, of course, by the height of the Green Monster, the fan still had a Rookie of the Year moment that amused Stanton himself. While the broadcast expected the fan to get ejected from Fenway Park, that wasn't the case at all.
ESPN caught up with the fan, 32-year-old Atlanta native Andrew Lastrapes, and he explained that he admitted to a security guard that he threw the ball after already evading other security personnel. He wasn't ejected from the ballpark.

Can We Get A Do Over
CNN may have some regrets after asking a “group of expert commentators” about their reaction to the Senate Judiciary Committee hearings with Brett Kavanaugh and Christine Blasey Ford.
While most of the panel delivered a predictable narrative on the testimonies of the Supreme Court nominee and the woman accusing him of sexually assaulting her, one of the commentators did not follow the normal news narrative.
Why is Keith Ellison still the deputy chairman of the DNC
The Democratic Party has strongly supported Dr. Christine Blasey Ford, the woman accusing President Trump’s Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault. But there has been complicating matters for The Democrats that do not seem to make the nightly news.
DNC Vice Chair Keith Ellison faces real documented accusations of assault.
Karen Monahan, Keith Ellison’s ex-girlfriend, came forward last month and alleged that Ellison physically and verbally abused her. The revelations were made public when Monahan’s son published them on Facebook. He wrote, in part:
“In the middle of 2017, I was using my moms computer trying to download something and I clicked on a file. I found over 100 text and twitter messages and video almost 2 minutes long that showed Keith Ellison dragging my mama off the bed by her feet, screaming and calling her a f — b — and telling her to get the f — out of his house.”
Allegations that have been leveled against Ellison should have been taken a lot more seriously than we have seen so far reported. As of now, it’s just the Democratic Party in Minnesota that is investigating the matter. But this is where the problem is. The DNC has failed to ask law enforcement to become involved. That is a key distinction because Senate Democrats last week demanded that the FBI investigate Ford’s allegations against Kavanaugh. The whole world has heard the cry of the DNC, and the Senate Democrats, when they called for a delay in the hearings until the FBI can complete a full investigation:
Now, yesterday the Ellison abuse claim has been deemed unsubstantiated. An attorney who was hired to investigate the claims, with links to the state's Democratic Party has concluded in a draft report obtained by The Associated Press, “An allegation standing alone is not necessarily sufficient to conclude that conduct occurred, particularly where the accusing party declines to produce supporting evidence that she herself asserts exists".
