Starting Oct. 15, the Portland Police Bureau will end the 20-year practice of issuing gang member designations. The last thing the most progressive city in America wants to do is give the appearance of racism, so the Portland PD is doing away with its gang database. It appears that most of the gangbangers in the city are minorities and keeping track of them and their criminal activities is an act of racial profiling. From The Oregonian
