Thursday Night at Sterns Square in Springfield Mass. will no longer be called Bike Night.  The long-running Thursday Night free concert series that began in the summer of 2000 is now reverting back to its roots.

This year, the very successful  Thursday Night Live Music Concerts.  will be called the CityBlock Summer Concert Series.  The City will also now close off part of Worthington Street in the downtown district and create a larger outdoor, festival-type setting for the  live weekly free concert series. 

According to Chris Russell, executive director of the Springfield Business Improvement District . The line-up would be very diverse this year. “We broadening our horizons a bit,” he stated.

The 2015 series kicks off tonight with Jane Monheit , One of modern jazz’s true superstars.  It’s another Good sign that summer is about to kick off in a good way. “See You There”
