Rock Beats Paper, But Knife Doesn’t Beats a Gun
A 27-year-old New Haven man was walking on Sperry Street when he was confronted by a man holding a knife.
The knife-wielding man said, Happy Halloween, and stabbed the victim. The victim’s cousin was waiting in his car when he heard the commotion. He then got out of his car, and was also stabbed by the assailant.
But the 24-year-old had a pistol on him and shot his assailant in the chest, police said.
The shooter has a valid pistol permit and his gun was lawfully registered to him, according to information obtained in a police records check. The Dumbass with the knife will never be playing

Concealed Carry Hero Shoots Man Attacking Starbucks Barista
A Starbucks barista is very grateful that one of her regular customers had a concealed weapon with him on Oct. 4, when a man attacked her behind the counter at the coffee shop.
 Shelby Hamilton’s first thought as she lay bruised and bleeding on the ground of a Salt Lake Starbucks was that she didn’t want to die this way. It would be a painful way to go.
It all began while Hamilton was working an early morning shift at the coffee shop near 3900 South and 900 East Thursday morning. Hamilton was standing behind the counter when a “haggard-looking” man entered, she said.
Instead of coming to the register to order, the man came behind the counter and asked Hamilton if she knew who he was. When she replied that she didn’t, he became angry and began beating her with his fists, she said.  MORE

This story came as a bit of a surprise to me, a male college student filed assault charges against a female student. The male student also happens to be the president of the Stanford College Republicans.
