Mark your calendars for this year's Free Fishing Days.

Free fishing days have been established to encourage those who do not fish to get out there and give it a try. The following dates and links are for each New England state and the regulations for their respective free fishing day or days. Please note, on these days, you will not need to buy a license, however, in certain states you may need to possess a license that will be issued by the state free of charge. Check each states web site listed below for all restrictions and / or other regulations.

Free Fishing Day’s in Connecticut are May 11th June 16 and August 10th (you still must possess the free one-day license)

Free Fishing Weekend in Maine is Saturday & Sunday June 1st-2nd

Free Fishing Weekend in Massachusetts is Saturday & Sunday June 1st-2nd.

Free Fishing Day in New Hampshire is June 1st.

Free Fishing Day in Vermont is June 8th.

​Free Fishing Weekend in Rhode Island was May 4th-5th.
