A Connecticut woman who was arrested on charges of driving under the influence got drunk from vanilla extract, according to a police report.
Stefanie Warner-Grise, 50, was allegedly sitting with her eyes closed in the driver's seat of her car, which was stopped in an intersection in New Canaan, Connecticut, on Wednesday afternoon,
police said.

HILLSBORO, WV – Deputies with the Pocahontas County Sheriff’s Department are investigating an attempted robbery that happened during the early morning hours on Monday, Feb. 4, 2019. They were called to a home on Seneca Trail near Hillsboro, WV at around 3:10 a.m.
When investigators arrived they found Jesse Blake, 34 of Marlinton, WV lying in the yard. He had been shot. Blake allegedly tried breaking two windows to get into the house. Deputies said that is when the 70-year-old woman who lived in the home shot him with a .22 magnum rifle.

Nashville Police: Would-be robber shot after attacking woman
Metro Nashville police on Tuesday said a would-be robber shot earlier this week outside an Antioch apartment complex. A 25-year-old woman told police that, about 9:30 p.m., she was walking to her Baker Station apartment when a stranger, later identified as Ponce, ran up behind her and grabbed her purse.
The woman said that as she resisted, Ponce grabbed her and started bashing her head into the wall of the building as she screamed. From The Tennessean

ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. (WITN) – Police in one Eastern Carolina city say a registered sex offender from New Bern was shot after he broke into a home early this morning.
Elizabeth City police say it happened in the 400 block of Bell Street around 6:30 a.m.
They say Tyrell Johnson came into the home through a back door and was confronted by the homeowner who ended up shooting him twice.
The 38-year-old man drove himself to Albemarle Sentara Hospital, according to police. Johnson was transferred to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital where he’s in fair condition. From : WITN.com
