Corporate Scumbags at their Best
Credit monitoring company Equifax says a breach exposed the social security numbers and other data of about 143 million Americans. If you want to know if you were one of the 143 million people whose data was breached in a hack of Equifax’s data, the company has a website you can use to find out — but there appears to be a catch: To check, you have to agree to give up your legal right to sue the company for damages.
After discovering the breach, but before notifying the public, three Equifax senior executives sold shares in the company worth almost $1.8m. Since the public announcement, the company’s share price has tumbled.
You Want What?
A pair of armed robber went into a Taco Bell, pulled out their weapons, and told the employees to, “give them everything.” The employees obliged and started by giving them the bullets to their gun first. Police say three employees of a Cleveland Taco Bell opened fire on two armed robbers, killing one.
