Canada’s Quebec Province Swings to the Right
In a blow to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Quebecers have voted and it’s becoming very clear that they have a big desire for change. According to early results from Elections Quebec and network projections, the centre-right Coalition Avenir Quebec will win power for the first time in Quebec turning the page on nearly 15 years of liberal rule. This will allow the party to make good on its promises to curb immigration. Elections Quebec said the CAQ received 73 out of the 125 seats in the province’s legislature, with the Liberals coming in second place with 32 seats. Quebec's Liberals held power for 13 out of the last 15 years.  MORE

FDA inspectors seized more than 1,000 pages of documents at e-cigarette maker Juul Labs’ headquarters in San Francisco last week, part of the agency’s battle against an epidemic of youth vaping.  Juul, which was first introduced in 2015, currently controls about 72% of the e-cigarette market.    via Chicago Tribune:

Amazon has been in the spotlight lately on how little the pay their hourly employees, and how many of them have had to also make claims for state assistance. So said Jeff Bezos at Amazon announces it will raise its minimum hourly wage to $15 for all US employees, part-time, full-time, temporary and seasonal workers in the U.S. starting November 1st.

"We listened to our critics, thought hard about what we wanted to do, and decided we want to lead. We're excited about this change and encourage our competitors and other large employers to join us." The raise will apply to all Whole Foods employees.

Speaking Of Deals
It's October, and that means it’s the Halloween season. Get ready for Halloween decorations ant treats, all month long. Luckily for the grown-ups, Applebee's has decided to release a new drink deal this month that will go perfectly with Halloween.

Applebee's Neighborhood Drink of the Month will be a Dollar Zombie. The 10-ounce drink is made with a combination of rum, pineapple, passion fruit, cherry, and lime, but the real kicker is the gummy brain that garnishes the top of the cocktail.

Applebee's said in a statement. "We invite people to get into the spirit early by trying our Neighborhood Drink with an infectious taste. The only thing to fear this Halloween is missing out on this awesome drink."

Yes I Will Try it
As of October 1, you can now buy-or order at a bar-Harpoon's Dunkin' Coffee Porter. The beer was specially made by the Boston-based brewery to have "a smooth mouthfeel with aromas of espresso and dark chocolate." It’s got 6 percent ABV, and per a press release, pairs well with hearty stews, seasonal desserts, tailgating, and, you guessed it, donuts.`The bottle is easy to spot at stores-its white label is decorated in Dunkin's signature orange and pink colors, and the side even looks like the side of a coffee cups, with checks marking the drinks's flavor, color, aroma, and taste.
