We're in for some more night shows over the next few weeks. Shooting stars from The Lyrid meteor shower will last from about April 16 to 25. Unfortunately, the full moon this month almost coincides with the peak of the Lyrid meteor shower. About 10 to 15 meteors per hour can be expected around the shower’s peak. These meteors tend to be bright and often leave trails, so it’s possible that a few will overcome the drenching light of the full moon. The peak morning is April 22.

The report warns that other European countries, including the UK, Belgium, Germany and Sweden “where religious tensions are starting to emerge”, will also see similar trends.
