Woman in her 80s defends home from intruder
BROWNSVILLE, Tenn. — A local woman proves, no matter your age, you can still protect yourself in your own home. Early Monday morning, Brownsville police responded to a reported home break-in.
“Once patrol arrived, they found her window – the kitchen window – had been broken into with some kind of brick or stone,” Evans said.
The victim, a woman in her 80s, told police she was in bed when she heard a loud noise, grabbed her weapon and went to check on it. “She asked the young man ‘what’re you doing in my house?’ He responded by firing a couple of rounds,” Evans said. “Well, she responded back by firing a couple rounds from her weapon.”via: WBBJ TV
Intruder killed by tenant while forcing way into SW Houston apartment
HOUSTON – An intruder is dead after he was met with gunfire when he forced his way into a southwest Houston apartment, police said. Officers said the incident happened around 12:30 a.m. Thursday at the Marquette at Piney Point apartment complex on Westheimer near Fondren Road.
According to authorities, three people were home when the intruder forced his way into the apartment under “suspicious circumstances.”
The intruder shot at the resident, at which point one of the residents tried to wrestle the gun away from him, officers said. While the intruder and resident were fighting, another roommate rushed to the room and got a gun.

Man shoots intruder multiple times on Lucille Street in Mobile
MOBILE, Ala.— On Friday, March 15, 2019 at around 9:30 p.m., Mobile police responded to the 1100 block of Lucille Street about a man shot multiple times. Mobile Fire-Rescue spokesman Stephen Millhouse confirmed that a 49-year-old man had been shot four times.
MPD said that a 19-year-old victim was standing in the middle of the street with a minor cut to his neck when officers arrived. The 49-year-old man was lying on the floor inside the house. He was transported to the hospital with possible life-threatening injuries.
MPD said that the suspect forced his way into the 19-year-old victim’s house and threatened him and swung his knife at the victim. via My NBC 15
