More snow began falling on Saturday just days after a mammoth snowstorm inundated regions of the Northeast with over a foot of snow. Many parts of the New England coast from Maine to Rhode Island received up to a foot of snow yesterday and there are reports of scattered power outages. This was the third snowstorm that occurred last week.
In terms of snowfall totals, I think this is pretty much a normal winter. In terms of temperature, I believe January was the coldest month we have ever seen in our lifetime. We have been spoiled for the last two years with unseasonably warm winters. I remember two years ago in the middle of January, the temp was in the 50s!
After the cold temperatures in January and these winter snowfalls that keep coming this month. I am beginning to believe that February will no longer be referred to as the shortest month of the year, but remembered as the longest month.
