Monday night, the UConn men’s basketball team won the national championships. UConn was seeded seventh to start the tournament, then went on an upset run that began in the second round against two-seed Villanova, and continued through a Final Four win over one-seed Florida to set up Monday's matchup against Kentucky.
The woman also won the national championships on Tuesday night. They crushed undefeated Notre Dame 79-58 Tuesday night in the first championship game ever that featured two undefeated teams. With the win for the ladies, they now have now won an unprecedented nine national championships.
