Some stories from last month in October
Once again there were a number of people for whom the Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms was much more than an outdated relic
of history:

Despite claims by many gun control advocates that firearms are rarely used in self-defense, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention noted in a 2013 report that almost all major studies on defensive gun uses have concluded that Americans use their firearms in self-defense between 500,000 and 3 million times every year.

Remember that story we ran a few months ago about a man who claimed he cured his terminal cancer with a cheap dog deworming medicine? The story of Joe Tippens, an Oklahoma man who allegedly cured his terminal with the help of a $5 dog deworming drug called fenbendazole, went viral. Doctors said the cancer had spread everywhere in his body and he only had about three months to live, but today he is cured and he credits the veterinary medicine for the miracle.
Vet pharmacies all over South Korean have been reporting increased demand for fenbendazole from people desperate to cure themselves or their relatives of cancer, as well as difficulties securing the dog dewormer. The

Greetings, Readers and Friends.
I’m back from the annual November adventures at deer camp in the Northeast Kingdom.  This year was no different in that Mother Nature again gave us a healthy dose of snow and some bitter cold temperatures that were in the minus zero range a few mornings when I got up. The deer won again this year and no bucks were seen, just fresh tracks in the snow as they were nocturnal. The short of the story is, so far venison will not be part of any of my upcoming menu items and the jerky recipes have not been used so far.

I was able to get back a day early from Vermont this year.  Yesterday, the opportunity to take Josie May back into the field and continue this year’s training on pointing and retrieving pheasants was a welcome relief.  There is something very special in watching the enthusiasm in which the young dog loves to get out there and find all the different types of game birds.  This has been a very good first season spent hunting with her. Now, as the days go by a lot more quickly this time of the year, the hunting season will inevitably come to an end. More good weather and more time is all that I can hope for.

And Now we get back to our regularly scheduled routine of ..........

Truth, uncompromisingly told will always have its ragged edges. Herman Melville
My bags are packed and it’s time to start the road trip. I’m heading “Upta Camp” today.  It’s once again that time of the year, when I make the annual trip to the big woods of the Northeast Kingdom for the deer season. I should arrive at camp to find a warm fire, and the boys telling all those familiar hunting stories.  Like the one that got away, or that all time favorite, I know where he’s at. “where that big buck is probably hiding this year”

There have been many decades of stories and laughter from those who have hunted from this special place in the deep woods of the Kingdom. The camp has been part of many adventures throughout the years, and always given back to each guest, a fond new memory to leave with at the end of every trip.

Good food, good friends and fond memories. That’s what camp is really about, and seeing a Big Buck is like getting a little extra piece of pie at the end of dinner. So with all that said, the postings here are now suspended.

News From The Land Of Kumbaya
Thanks to the sanctuary city policies in effect now throughout the country, undocumented individuals who are currently facing charges such as child sex crimes, murder and drug trafficking are free to wander the streets. As ICE has repeatedly made clear, when local jurisdictions refuse to cooperate with federal law enforcement, they not only betray their duty to protect public safety, but force ICE to be more visible in those areas.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) officers arrested 19 individuals in several counties throughout Massachusetts during a four-day enforcement action, targeting criminal aliens who have been convicted or charged with fentanyl, heroin, and other drug-related trafficking crimes. Many of these criminal aliens were released from local law enforcement custody into Massachusetts communities with no notification to ICE.

The History and Meaning of Berlin Wall
Today marks the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. On November 9, 1989, as the shaky East German communist government resigned, the Berlin Wall came tumbling down. Large crowds formed on both sides of the Wall. East and West Berliners climbed on top, and then people began using sledgehammers and pickaxes to cut holes in it. Large numbers of East and West Berliners started to move back and forth through the Wall, capturing the spirit of a freedom to move without political barriers standing in the way.

Early this spring, I learned that I had won $1 million dollars from the Publisher’s Clearing House. The formal letter that was sent to me stated that because I was not the big Grand Prize winner of the 1 million dollars a year for life, I would not be seeing the Prize Patrol come knocking on my front door. But as a legitimate winner, I will still be receiving my share of this year’s winning prizes, by order of this official notice.

The only thing I needed to do now in order to claim my prize was to wire them $250 dollars for the processing fees. Well I did just that immediately and now I am still waiting for the $1 million dollar prize that I have won. I’m now starting to think about it daily and wondering what’s the problem and causing this long delay. Volume Up
