According to police, John Panicci has been arrested and accused of stealing encrypted access key, and computer equipment at the local elections office. The theft occurred on March 19, when the Elections Office conducted a training session for volunteers assisting with a special election that was scheduled for March 24th. It's The Season

Kielbasa for those of you who live under a rock and may not have tried it before is a Polish sausage, typically made with pork or a blend of pork, veal or beef. It can vary in flavor and seasonings, from mild and savory to spicy and tangy. They are flavored with a variety of spices such as garlic, pepper, paprika. caraway and marjoram.

Kielbasa is typically smoked which gives it a unique flavor and aroma. Much like BBQ, there are different woods used in the smoking process. It can be cooked and enjoyed in a variety of ways such as grilled, boiled or baked and is often served with traditional Polish dishes such as stuffed cabbage, golumpki or pierogi.

Living here in Southern New England, with a large Polish population, there is no shortage excellent Polish Deli’s and Kielbasa manufacturers. So, my motto is, there should never be a reason to buy that low-quality that is sold in every supermarket throughout the country. That's not to say that if it's sold in a major supermarket that it's not up to par. Many of the great regional Kielbasa company's product can also be purchased in supermarkets. Just stick with the regional companies because they make a far superior product.

Most Kielbasa loving aficionados know that there is also a special Kielbasa that is made during the Easter Holiday. This is in addition to the regular products that are sold throughout the year. I will admit that I haven't tried every one of my top favorites “Holiday Kielbasa’s”, but those that I have tried are all worth the road trip.

Because of my love for the King of Kielbasas, I have blazed a few trails in order to try some of the outstanding products that are made here in our region. During the years of my kielbasa tasting research, I tried well over 30 regional kielbasas’. From those, I have created my favorites shortlist.

So, without any further Blah..Blah, and in no particular order, here are the 10 best that I can personally say are worth the trip to try!
