The New Battle Has Started
Democratic Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi strongly criticized President Donald Trump's handling of the coronavirus pandemic. Pelosi suggested Sunday on CNN that every deceased coronavirus patient’s death is attributable to President Donald Trump.

She was on a rant with Jake Tapper, when she blamed Trump’s early denial for spread of coronavirus. We weren’t prepared for the virus, we now have 2,000 deaths and 100,000 cases. She continued that he has made "deadly" decisions over the past couple months.

This is also the same person who blocked the relief bill for Americans unless she got her pet projects included.

I’m sure it was just an oversight that she forgot about her trip on Feb. 24th.  Speaker Pelosi was in SF's Chinatown to show her support for the businesses amid the coronavirus fears.

On Monday Morning, President Donald Trump came back at Pelosi in an early morning phone interview on “Fox & Friends,” and called her a "sick puppy" after she criticized his response to the COVID-19 outbreak.

President Donald Trump says the federal government is postponing the deadline for obtaining REAL ID-compliant identification cards because of the coronavirus.
Travelers would have been required to present REAL ID cards to board U.S. flights starting on Oct. 1. The president says a new deadline will be announced soon.

Feds Add Gun Companies to ‘Essential’ Business List
The Department of Homeland Security added gun dealers, ranges, and manufacturers to its essential business coronavirus-response guide on Saturday.
The change comes after some state and local officials have shut down gun stores and manufacturing plants around the country. The federal guidelines could influence how state and local officials implement lockdown orders moving forward.
The updated guidance from DHS's Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) now considers "workers supporting the operation of firearm or ammunition product manufacturers, retailers, importers, distributors, and shooting ranges" to be essential. More

President Donald Trump backed away from calling for a quarantine for coronavirus hotspots in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut, instead directing that a “strong Travel Advisory” be issued to stem the spread of the outbreak.

It looks like some of the Governors of Southern New England States are also thinking that border security might be important after all, at least when it comes to quarantining those out of state traveler’s.

In a statement, Ct. Gov. Lamont said he has taken steps to ensure people stay home. He has also asked those who have traveled from New York City to self-quarantine.

R.I. Gov. Gina Raimondo announced that anyone coming into the state from New York
will be mandated to self-quarantine for 14 days. The Rhode Island National Guard also started going door to door on Saturday in coastal areas to inform any New Yorkers who may have come to the state that they must self-quarantine for 14 days while Gov. Gina Raimondo expanded the mandatory self-quarantine to anyone visiting the state. State Police also set up a checkpoint on I-95 in Hope Valley on Friday where drivers with New York license plates must stop and provide contact information and were told to self-quarantine for
two weeks.

Even The Beaches are Closing
Most everything is now closed, restaurants, bars, retail shops, and as of Friday at midnight, all beaches across the state of NH.  This came after town officials in Kittery, York, Wells and Ogunquit Maine all closed their beaches early last week amid concerns that crowds could gather and worsen the coronavirus pandemic; Kennebunk officials on Friday added their town’s beaches to the growing list of closures.

World leaders are also going to extraordinary lengths to do whatever possible to contain the virus. Governments are now enacting strict measures to combat the pandemic and slowdown the amount of infections.  A third of the global population is now on coronavirus lockdown. Here’s the Business Insider’s updated list of countries and restrictions.

American Gun Ownership: The Positive Impacts of Law-Abiding Citizens Owning Firearms
It’s no secret that mainstream press coverage of gun ownership in the United States tends to be in favor of gun control – especially when those reporting on the topic are not firearm owners themselves.

Far too often, those who disagree with supporters of the Second Amendment and firearm-related policies resort to assertions that we simply care more about our guns than about the lives of innocent people, and that the right to keep and bear arms has little beneficial purpose in modern America. This makes it all the more critical that we continue to emphasize the important role lawful gun owners play as an immediate and regular defense against crime.

Despite this bias, a law-abiding private citizen owning guns does have positive impacts on American society that often go under reported. Police officers are not always there when you need them. They respond to calls of those who are already in peril, or to a crime scene after the offense has occurred.
So once again, we have some stories from last month that will show you, the first line of defense against crime is by those who are prepared when a crime occurs. More

 A Sad St Patrick’s Day
It was a tough day for me yesterday on so many levels. It started off with arriving at work and finding out that my driving schedule for the day would have me working an extra long day, there were extra stops on the route that I would be required to deliver too and the amount of product on the truck to off load was larger than I have seen in a long time.

I tried to reassure myself that it didn’t matter how late I had to work today, I was not going to be able to stop by the pub today after work for a beer and celebrate St Patrick’s Day with a few friends, all bars and restaurants are closed due to the threat of the corona virus spreading.

Then, as if there wasn’t enough bad luck already doled out for me in one day, the news broke that Tom Brady will no longer be playing football for the New England Patriots. I thought to myself, how could Robert Kraft and Bill Bellicheck allow this to happen. A salary cap issue for sure but to allow the greatest franchise player in the history of New England sports walk away towards the end of his career seemed crazy. I could go on forever on how stupid this decision is and how the Patriots rebuilding process will take years to get established.

Bill’s Will has struck again and there is a plan in place. I am just waiting for the ink to dry so I can get my hands on it and read it over. Although come to think of it, I never got a chance to read the plan the day Bill benched Malcolm Butler when the Patriots lost to the Eagles on the day when Brady still set an Super Bowl record for most passing yards and the Pats still lost.  Or how about the game plan for when Gronk retired from football last year and Bill made no moves to fill that position. We saw how bad that turned out last year.

Well there is one thing I can say without any reservations. It looks like I will be following/watching a lot more of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers games next year.

Spring equinox (also called the first day of spring or vernal equinox) falls on Thursday, March 19, which is earlier than it’s been in over a century. This year, will be the earliest spring we’ll have seen in our lives. The last time spring arrived this early was in 1896—a whopping 124 years ago! The best thing about the equinox, the length of day and night is equal in all parts of the world. Tomorrow we get to enjoy more daylight hours, with earlier dawns and later sunsets.

More Tales From Those “Safe Sanctuary Cities”
The Real Question Should Be: Safe Communities For Whom?
Thanks to the sanctuary city policies in effect now throughout the country, undocumented individuals who are currently facing charges such as murder, sex crimes and drug trafficking are free to wander the streets.
