Now throw in a little lot of traffic delays because of the weather and all of a sudden, the lure of the “Pub with a Pint” was starting to sound very good. Being able to sit there and relax after a tough day on the highway just seemed like perfect sense. That was the rational that was coming from the little one who likes to sit on my left shoulder and offer up plenty of suggestions.
When I did finish up for the day and finally parked the truck, the good one who sits on my right shoulder won out on the argument. You made it through the day so go straight home and relax were those words that I remember. There was also a little fatigue involved after a long day. Home it was, and a little dinner with spaghetti and meatballs, followed by some desert which was a good night’s sleep.
Rested and charged up again, Today, I hope for a smooth run and a little sunshine, as I head up to the North Country.
