I will never forget.

I remember 9/11 like it was yesterday. America faced an unprecedented attack that shook us to our core. It was the only time I remember when we transcended our differences, and came together as one nation, indivisible.

Today, 23 years later, while the victims loved ones still bear the burden, we should be offering our condolences to all those who lost their lives that day, and their family members. And to mourn the losses of those who perished after 9/11 as a result of the aftereffects of the tragedy. From health issues because of toxins ingested during the cleanup operations, to those that went on to fight in the battles, to the mental health issues and to all their families as well. Because everyone's dreams were shattered and will never be realized.

The part that concerning is, today in 2024, we have politicians that support terrorists and their ideology. They and their followers preach for the genocide of a race of people in This Country. After all the sacrifices that have been made by previous generations, even more politicians find it acceptable to let terrorists just walk across an unsecured border and into our country bringing death and destruction with them.

They are doing nothing to protect Americans against these threats and have doubled down on the rhetoric that has since divided us like never before! I fear that if something like this were to ever happen again, half the country would either not care or be cheering for the bad guys.

God bless America, we need the help now more than ever.

Correction
This column earlier reported that it was doubtful that the present political administration would attend today's 911 remembrance ceremonies. This was because of previously published schedules for Biden and Harris. They were in fact in attendance at the ceremony and
Joe Biden and Donald Trump shook hands. Former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg also appeared to facilitate a handshake between Harris and Trump. The presidential rivals stood only a few feet apart, with Biden and Bloomberg between them.

We don’t make the news; We just report it.
