Taylor Swift and her new cover of Earth, Wind & Fire’s “September” was able to get me and the rest of the internet taking sides. Her version of the classic hit, was released this month and manages in three minutes to take a classic song and strip it of all its iconic funk elements. She has turned one of Earth, Wind & Fire’s greatest songs and made it into One of Them acoustic covers that country fans love so much. But In her version, there is no passion or rhythm. But it is Taylor Swift, so there must be some hidden redeeming quality. Be sure to let me know when it shows up.
