The truth is, Boars Head made just an average liverwurst. I've always been a big fan of Braunschweiger, which is a type of liverwurst. I'm also very lucky because one of my favorite deli’s, which is an easy ride for me, is located in Chicopee Ma.

Bernats Polish deli sells what I consider to be the best Brauschweiger -Pasztetowa Wędzona or in understandable English, liverwurst. It’s manufactured by the legendary Andy's Deli & Mikolajczyk Sausage Shop. They are located in Chicago and produce some of the best Kielbasa and sausage products you could ever ask for.

Their Brauschweiger Liverwurst is seasoned perfectly, and one of the few that I enjoy plain, no onion or mustard. Served on a slice of lightly toasted, bakery fresh lightly rye bread with no traditional toppings, it doesn't get any better than that.

I am not a paid spokesman, nor have I received any Spiffs from Bernats or Andy’s Deli, or any of their subsidiaries. (However, if they offered, I would without hesitation, gladly accept)
